Web 2.0 Technology I was already using.
One of my classmates posted an excellent visual of Web 2.0 technology in our course discussion this week. The image below is from Bower's 2015 article, A Typology of Web 2.0 Learning Technologies.

I was excited to see that I have already been using Web 2.0 technology in my classroom without realizing what it was. I thought it would be beneficial for me to list out what I have used with success in previous classes based on Bower's Web 2.0 categories.

At the last school I taught at we used Google Classroom; this was a fantastic resource for the teachers and students. It helped make work a little easier for teachers, and I especially liked being able to post the day's agenda so that when students were absent, they could see what they had missed. Posting and receiving results of formative assessments was another plus. For the students, they were able to practice using technology to learn and communicate. It was also convenient that students could access their work from anywhere with an internet connection.
If I have had such a great experience with the few tools that I have used, I can only imagine how useful and engaging the new tools we are learning about will be.
